After informally revealing Avengers as their next game earlier this month, Stern Pinball today put out a press release with more details and a number of pictures of the game and its various editions.
Like AC/DC, Avengers comes in a regular Pro model, a Premium version and two limited editions - Avengers and Hulk - with 250 models of each produced.
The Pro model is at the bottom of the range.

The Pro playfield includes 4 drop targets to spell out H-U-L-K, a metal cross-playfield ramp with a spinner at the entrance, and a spinning 'Tesseract' cube target, much like the All-Spark cube in the consumer 'Pin' version of Transformers.
The Premium and LE versions add a second cross-playfield ramp shaped like one of Hawkeye's arrows and a new ramp at the back right corner of the playfield.
The Premium and LE playfield
The Hulk and Avengers LE versions have mirrored backglasses, as opposed to the translites of the Premium and Pro. The LEs also have a new backbox profile which appears to have larger side panels, perhaps previewing the backbox which will be used when Stern add the long-expected LCD display some time in 2013.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the two backbox designs.

Prices have been announced for the Pro and LE models, but not the Premium. That price will not be announced until next year.
The suggested selling price of the Pro is $5699, with both LE's coming in at $8099.
There are numerous differences between the various models, so Stern have supplied a feature matrix to make comparison slightly easier.
Unusually, the Pro model has four balls installed, while the Premium and LE has six. The Pro continues to feature traditional lamps, while the others have LEDs throughout. The Hulk LE also comes with a green LED display.

Avengers Pinball Game Joins Stern’s Collection of Comic
Inspired Games
MELROSE PARK, IL – November 29, 2012 – Stern Pinball Inc., the world’s leading
maker of real pinball games, announced today the release of The Avengers pinball
machine. The newest member of the Stern collection memorializes The Avengers, a
franchise that has remained a staple in pop culture since it first appeared as a comic
book series in 1963. The Avengers will join Stern’s revolutionary line-up of comic
inspired machines including X-Men, Spiderman, Iron Man and Batman.
For almost 50 years The Avengers have delighted fans through comic books, television
series and movies. Stern is thrilled to bring the franchise to pinball and provide fans with

America, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Players help The Avengers assemble to defeat the
notorious villain Loki. The Avengers pinball features an animated twisting and pounding
custom molded HULK, drop targets and a spinning cube bonus, in addition to plenty of
multiball action.
“Throughout the years The Avengers have cultivated a loyal and energetic fan base,” said Gary Stern, founder, CEO and Chairman of Stern Pinball. “Stern is pleased to have
the opportunity to give these fans an Avengers pinball game to enjoy for years to come.”
The Avengers game continues both the Stern Pinball and the Stern family tradition of
producing quality pinball machines for young and old. The company traces its lineage to
Philadelphia in the 1930s when Sam Stern entered the business of operating pinball
