SILVER BALL PLANET |
Location: 3rd Floor, Big Step shopping centre, 1-6-14 Nishishinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka 542-0086, Japan Report by John Since my previous visit in March 2014 there have been some major changes to the Silver Ball Planet. The total number of pinballs has increased from sixty to around one hundred. Here's the full list:
The main entrance has been renovated to help keep the cool air inside the arcade.
A video projector has been set up to play pinball-related videos all day long.
While most machines cost 100Yen per game, some of the older pinballs have been set to a special price of two games per 100Yen or even four games per 100Yen.
The number of free Japanese pinball guides has also been increased.
The regular monthly pinball tournament which was about to start when I last visited is now running with Mr Nakamura as the host.
The new arcade manager, Mr Tanimura, is overseeing the quality of all the pinballs. Most of the time he is busy with repairs.
A new Tron video game has been added alongside the Tron Legacy pinball.
And finally, more and more international visitors at coming to play at the Silver Ball Planet arcade.
