CAPTAIN NEMO |
Date: 17th December, 2012 Our previous look at Captain Nemo Dives Again from Quetzal Pinball came at the European Pinball Championship in Madrid back in September. Now we have an update from designer and Quetzal Pinball head, Antonio Ortuño.
The latest information came in an update sent to those who have pre-ordered the machine and describes how orders have been placed this week for assorted hardware to aid the construction of the playfields and cabinets.
In addition, orders for parts for the 30 games being built and the wood for the playfields will also be placed this week, with a lead time of three to four weeks. In the intervening time, Antonio says he and one of the game's two graphic designers, Gustavo Díaz, will continue their work on developing the ruleset further. In addition to the information about the hardware parts on order, Antonio also shared some of the animations for the 9.7-inch LCD panel embedded in the playfield.
Finally in this update, we get a better look at the QPC - Quetzal Pinball Controller; the custom computer board which contains the CPU, the power supply, and the driver circuits for the lamps, solenoids, switches and monitor.
Since our previous update, a flyer for the game has been produced. It lists many of the games key features, such as the LCD monitor, the open-source software, the use of LED lighting and it machines wireless networking capabilities.
