MAGIC GIRL

Date: 6th June, 2015

The future of the Zidware game projects Magic Girl, Retro Atomic Zombie Adventureland and Alice in Wonderland has been in doubt recently following game designer John Popadiuk's announcement that he has exhausted his funding without having created a complete game.

A rescue package has been put together by a newly-formed entity called Pintasia, and they have brought the Magic Girl prototype game to the Northwest Pinball & Arcade Show in Tacoma.

It will be revealed to the public later today, but we can bring you advance preview pictures and gameplay video.

The cutout on the left is a motorised pachinko-style feature which rotates while a miniature ball bounces off the pins and scores points.

Here's a video of the game in action. There appeared to be fairly minimal rules implemented so far, but it has some nice lighting effects, and great music and sound effects.
