CHAILLY 2007

Date: September 29th & 30th 2007
Location: Chailly en 3iere, 77930, France.

Report by Pascal Descloux

This weekend was the premiere of the Chailly show in France. We have nicknamed it the Paris show, since it is located only 30 miles south of Paris.

For its first time, this show gathered approximately 40-50 machines from electromechanicals to dots, but old slot machines, bagatelles games, and pachislos were also exhibited.

Stands of pinball parts were obviously present and it was possible to find many different items from rubbers to backglasses.

The show took place in the village gymnasium which - from first impressions - looks like a small room, but in fact it was big enough to accommodate everyone and made it easy for people to move around.

Everyone appreciated the size of the show, which gave us the feeling of a private show for a big family!

Approximately 400 people came to this first rendez-vous, which was the opportunity for many to meet fellow collectors and for others to come home with a new machine as many of the pins were on sale.

The parking lot was also the place of activity for the sale and trade of parts between collectors.

From everyone's point of view it was a big success and one that makes the organizers think they will be back next year.
