Hello and welcome to the first day of our coverage of Pinball Expo 2007.

The entrance to Pinball Expo

It's Wednesday evening here and in the Wyndham hotel the machine set-up is well under way. The Bumper Blast welcome party started at 8pm but before then visitors could register for the show, the seminars, the factory tour and the banquet on Saturday evening.

Behind the diners in the picture above are the machines used for the tournaments.

Machines to be used for the tournament

There are three Pirates Of The Caribbeans, three Family Guys, three Spider-Man machines and two Meteors, also by Stern. There are also various divisions - A, B, C, Women, Seniors Juniors and Tots. The main A & B divisions cost $5 and $4 per play respectively but also require registration fees of $20 and $10. Players who pre-purchased tickets as part of the show pack can use them in the C Division without incuring a registration fee but must pay the fee if they want to play in A or B.

In the side hall, the machines for Pinbrawl were mostly set up and the trophies and plaques for the winners on display.
