PINBALL MASTERS |

Date: July 25th & 26th 2008 Report by Victoria Kaneby and Michael Lindström. The Pinball Masters Open was held in Lidköping on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of July. This year there were 67 players attending the annual event.
It was two days of intense playing from both experienced as well as rookie players.
Below are some of the people involved in this year's planning and execution.
We had a great time this weekend. Victoria - VIC - Kaneby and Frida - FFF - Nilsson were handling the admission fees as well as the refreshments. Alex - AMB - Askem was helping out with the score keeping during this packed weekend.
Ole and Elisabet from Parts4Pinballs, Norway brought an Indiana Jones 4 for its premier in Sweden. Playing it is Daniel - DKG - Gustafsson.
The spirits were high all throughout the weekend. Below we see Ole Jörgen Kristiansen from P4P and Fredrik - FJN - Johansson.
The main tournament qualification started on Friday at 18:00 and then we had a night's rest before it started again on Saturday at 13:00.
A lot of people were hanging around even after they were finished, just to see how their friends did in the qualification.
It was one of the warmest weekends in Sweden yet. There were plenty of refreshments available.
Besides the main tournament, we also had some small side competitions. Split and…
… set the high score. We used 3 games for this latter event. Lord Of The Rings, Pirates Of The Caribbean and Indiana Jones 4. Below you can see Karl - KGB - Broström on LOTR and Patrik - PAL - Bodin on POTC. Behind then Rolf - REC - Ericson and Stefan - FEZ - Andersson are talking. Most probably they are telling old jokes.
3rd place in Split were Per - PER - Ahlenius and Per - APB - Holknekt.
2nd place in Split came Fredrik - F_L - Lindberg and Roger - ROS - Ström.
And the winners were Marcus - MS - Salo and Michael - MIC - Lindström.
The winner of Set the High Score on Lord Of The Rings was Alvar - C_P - Palm.
The highest score on Pirates Of The Caribbean was made by Patrik - PAL - Bodin.
On Indiana Jones 4, Fredirk - REY - Malmpvist was the winner. Unfortunately he had to leave before we could give him his trophy.
One of the more popular games in our fleet was Elvira And The Party Monsters.
In the main Pinball Masters, the final rounds were held on World Cup Soccer, Medieval Madness and Doctor Who. 24 players went into the next round, 12 from each group. The top 8 qualifiers could wait out the results of the first final round. We played 4-man matches until the end.

5th place in the main Pinball Master competition was Christian - BLA - Balac.
In 4th place was Per - APB - Holknekt.
3rd place went to Johan - JG - Genberg.
In 2nd place was Per - PER - Ahlenius.
And the winner was…
...Reidar - LEL - Spets.
