VIERZON 2010 |
Date: April 24th & 25th 2010 Report by Pascal Descloux On April 24th and 25th the 19th edition of Vierzon pinball show took place at the Parc des Expositions. Thanks to the sunny weekend, more than 13,000 visitors came to the show which brought together pinballs and memories from the 1950s. Every year there is a theme for the pinballs on display and this year the theme chosen by the organisers was simply "Williams".
Around 40 machines were exhibited from the late '60s through to the very end of the '90s If most of the models on display were familiar to collectors, a few quite rare and unusual specimens were also shown, such as these:
A few more machines…
I found that this year there were rather more professional exhibitors at the show than private collectors, but despite that, prices seemed to be the same or even lower than previous years. Plus, the pinballs were mostly in a much better condition than before. I also found that there were more pinball machines on exhibitors’ stands than in earlier years, and we are starting to see brand new pinballs on sell on the show too. Here are more pics, taken just before the opening… Next year, the show may open for 3 days as it falls on a public holiday. That's still to be decided, but the theme is already known and it will be circus and magic.
