Report by John

In September 2013, my wife and I had our first trip to east coast of the USA (New York City and Orlando), and Canada (Vancouver).

After leaving Reciprocal Skateboards & Pinball, we continued our journey to the next pinball location - Amsterdam Billiards - a 15-minute walk away.

We arrived at the bar around 6pm.

This bar looked very decent and well decorated, and there were already a few guests there when we arrived.

I first confirmed with the bartender that it was not mandatory to order drinks if I only wanted to play the pinballs there.  This was a good news for me since I could use all of my money on pinballs and nothing else.

There were 3 pinballs there:

  • Metallica (Stern, 2012) - $1.00 per 3-ball game

  • Paragon (Bally, 1978) - $1.00 for two 5-ball games

  • Terminator II (Williams, 1992) - $1.00 per 3-ball game

This was the first time I had seen the Metallica pinball. It is a very funny game although the background music is quite noisy.

I was excited when I saw the Paragon pinball again. I had only played this pinball once before, when I was a child. In addition, it was very good value for money since it only cost $0.50 per 5-ball game.

I liked this bar since it was quiet and relaxing.  We had stayed there for around one hour before returning to the hotel.
