BRAINWASH CAFE |
Location: 1122 Folsom Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. In his continuing series of reviews from pinball locations around the world, our reporter John heads to America's west coast and to San Francisco where he discovers somewhere you can do eat, play pinball and wash your laundry. In September 2012, I visited San Francisco as my first stop on my trip to the USA. After visiting the Golden Gate Bridge on the morning of my 2nd day in the city, I began my journey to the BrainWash & Laundromat for a late lunch.
It took me more than an hour to travel from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Civic Center Metro station by bus and train.
I reached the BrainWash Cafe after a ten minute walk from the Metro station.
My wife and I were very hungry, so as soon as we arrived at the store we immediately ordered a late lunch.
In general, the meal of hamburgers was large, but not all that delicious when compared with the hamburgers available in Hong Kong's fast food shops.
It was not surprise though, since people from different regions often have different tastes in food.
There were three pinball machines near the entrance to the laundry area - Roadshow, South Park and Fish Tales.
Immediately after lunch I started playing all three of them.
The condition of the pinballs was good, and it was easy to get replays. Unfortunately, I felt very cold when I was playing the pinballs since the entrance doors kept opening, letting in cold air.
So, I had to leave after playing pinballs only for thirty minutes. It was quite sad...
