GALLOPING GHOST |
Location: 9415 Ogden Ave., Brookfield, Illinois 60513, USA A retro arcade, the Galloping Ghost Arcade, opened a few years ago at 9415 Ogden Ave. in Brookfield, Illinois.
It features over 400 video games. The video games are mostly the classics from the late '70s to early '80s, and fighting games.
The Galloping Ghost has also put together a collection of ten pinball machines that are included in the arcade. Co-owner Gerry Cantu said they had no pinball machines when they opened and have built up the pin collection over time.
Doc Mack, the other co-owner, said that Funhouse was a must have for the arcade.
The pins are kept in a back room of a second building at the arcade and are only available to play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Some of the pins have some wear from heavy use over the years, but they all were playable.
It is a great place to play some older pin favorites. Admission to the arcade is $15 which allows unlimited free play on all the games. They are open until 2am every day, so you can spend plenty of time playing all the game there. Brixie's is only two-and-a-half blocks west of the Galloping Ghost, so you can visit there while in the area if you want to play their pins too.
