| Location: 115 Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94102, USA In his continuing series of reports from pinball locations around the Bay Area, Pinball News's roving reporter John drops in at a local sports bar to catch a game or two. In September 2012, we visited the San Francisco as the first stop of our trip to USA.
After leaving the Metreon shopping mall, we had our dinner in a Thai-style restaurant around 7:30pm. The meals tasted good compared with those American-styled ones (since Asians like Asian food, of course).
After dinner, we walked to another pinball location – Union Square Sports Bar.
There were many guests inside the bar and therefore it was very noisy. The bar has one pinball - a Terminator 2 - and one video game in a dark corner deep inside the bar.
The working condition of the T2 pinball was acceptable, but the surrounding lighting of the bar was not bright enough. Sometimes I could not locate the ball easily, and the ball drained a couple of times because of this. Since we were very tired and we stayed there less than 30 minutes.
