ZANZABAR |
Location: 2100 South Preston Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40217, USA Report by Dan Marquardt Something that was always high on my to-do list was to see and ride a steam-powered paddle wheel boat. In the fall of 2012, my dad and I flew from Chicago to downtown Louisville, Kentucky to ride the last original steam boat still running, The Belle of Louisville.
Of course, a trip to a new city wouldn't be any fun without finding at least one location that has pinball machines to play. I entered "Louisville Kentucky"on the Pinballrebel.com website and it listed Zanzabar as the location with the most pins in the area. Only a ten minute cab ride from downtown Louisville, visiting Zanzabar was definitely worth the effort.
The bar also has an impressive selection of the best vintage video games in great condition.
The place was packed with people playing the pins on a Saturday night. It was nice to see such interest in pinball there. I had to wait hours to take some photos of the pins without people playing them. If you are heading to Louisville, Kentucky and want to play some well maintained classic pins, Zanzabar is the place to go.
