THE WIZARD OF OZ:
PLAYFIELD INSERTS 2

Date: 17th December, 2011

Four weeks ago we brought you the first look at the playfield inserts layout for The Wizard of Oz.  Now a picture of the whitewood version with the correct colours has been released.

Here's the official picture:

To help you get a better look, here's the same playfield but without the perspective:

It is now easier to see the related groups of inserts and speculate about which inserts might spell out certain relevant words.

A third view, from Peter Schotvanger, helps us visualise this layout of inserts by putting them under the known playfield components.

According to Jersey Jack Pinball, Greg Freres's playfield artwork has been completed and submitted to Warner for approval.  Due to the Christmas and New Year break, this approval could take several weeks, but according the Jack Guarnieri the artwork looks, "AWESOME!  Lots of color and everything you would expect from Greg Freres representing The Wizard of Oz."

In further news, Jack appeared in a recent BBC documentary about pinball broadcast in the East Midlands.  The Inside Out programme covered local pinball collector and fan Spike Reddington, his collection and the meetings he hosts at his home.  The programme team then visited the UK Pinball Party where they met up with Jack and several of the overseas players who came to the UK for the show.
