Date: 7th February, 2013

Today's news on The Wizard of Oz was somewhat overshadowed by the first pictures of The Hobbit, but included in that announcement was a new video and news of the game's progress towards full production.

Let's start with that video, created by Jean-Paul de Win, which shows part of the sequence for the twister feature, .

Jersey Jack Pinball also announced news that readers of Pinball News will already know - that Ted Estes has joined the company to help complete the programming on The Wizard of Oz and future projects.

It has also been revealed that The Wizard of Oz has passed the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing, meaning it is cleared for sale, and tested as working in its intended environment without causing undue interference to other electrical equipment.

This should clear the way for the machine to receive the UL, CE, and other conformity marks needed to sell the product in various markets around the world.

Finally in this update, JJP say shipping of the first games to retail customers is hoped to start around the middle of next month (March 2013).

Rest assured, as soon as the first game leaves the factory, you'll be able to read about it here on Pinball News.
