KOK BAR |
Location: 1225 Folsom St, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA While in San Francisco, our roving reporter John visited several pinball haunts. In this latest report, he pays a brief visit one of the more unusual ones. The Kok Bar was just one block away from the BrainWash Cafe and it only took me 5 minutes to get there.
When I arrived at this bar, it was just around 5:10pm and it had only been open for a few minutes. It seemed that the Kok Bar was just a regular bar with nothing special about it.
I easily found their two pinballs - Congo and The Adams Family.
Initially, I was excited since I had never seen a Congo pinball before. The working condition of the Congo was acceptable, but the playfield lighting was not bright enough. Sometimes I could not locate the ball easily, and the ball drained a couple of times because of this.
Finally, my wife forced me to leave because she found that a gay video was playing on a TV somewhere inside the bar. She insisted we go, even though there was no risk to her! In the end I only stayed there for around 15 minutes. Here's more information about the Kok Bar:
